M. Tiago Paixão nasceu em Lisboa em 1982. Depois de passar a sua adolescência no Porto voltou para Lisboa, onde se licenciou em L.L.M. var. – Estudos Portugueses, na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Terminada a licenciatura, viveu em Paris, onde trabalhou como Assistente de Língua Portuguesa na Academia de Versailles.
Actualmente vive em Ankara onde é Leitor de Língua e Cultura Portuguesa na Ankara Universitesi, Dil ve Tarih-Cografya Fakultesi. É ainda professor na School of Foreign Languages da Izmir Ekonomi Universitesi, em Izmir, e Conselheiro Cultural da Embaixada de Portugal na Turquia.
É membro fundador da Cooperativa Literária, criada em 2006. Trabalhou como director nos primeiros cinco números da revista literária Callema, entre 2006 e 2008. Actualmente é editor da revista Callema e director do projecto Cümle Frase – Folha Mensal de Poesia Portuguesa, na Turquia. Colabora ainda com a Prof. Dra. Inci Kut na elaboração do primeiro grande dicionário Português-Turco, Turco-Português.

Em 2005 publica o seu primeiro livro, Sentimentos Sobrepostos (Gama – edição de livros) e em 2007 publica L’étranger / the outkast ou o quarto sem ar (Sombra do Amor edições).

M. Tiago Paixão was born in Lisbon in 1982. After spending his adolescence in Oporto he came back to Lisbon, where he graduate in Modern Languages and Literature, Portuguese Studies branch, in the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
After graduation, he lived in Paris, where he worked as Assistant of Portuguese Language in the Versalles Academy.
Now he lives in Ankara where he is teacher (Leitor) of Portuguese Language and Culture in the Ankara Universitesi, Dil ve Tarih-Cografya Fakultesi. He is also teacher in the School of Foreign Languages in the Izmir Ekonomi Universitesi, in Izmir, and Cultural Adviser of the Portuguese Embassy in Turkey.
He is a founding member of the Cooperativa Literária, created in 2006. He worked as director on the first five numbers of the literary magazine Callema, between 2006 and 2008. Now he is editor of the magazine Callema and director of the project Cümle Frase – Monthly Page of Portuguese Poetry, in Turkey. He’s also cooperating with Prof. Dra. Inci Kut, on the first large dictionary of Portuguese-Turkish, Turkish-Portuguese.
